This does no harm, but it is just annoying. Therefore, it reports an error that the file is not found. The reason may be that main files are removed during the uninstallation, but the startup shortcut is not. For instance, a file missing alert pops up when booting into Windows. These are usually quite harmless, but occasionally, you may see error messages after uninstallation and reboot. But, they are proven to be not so reliable, and basically would leave files and registry entries behind. Each program should come with its uninstaller, which you can find a shortcut to launch it at Start Menu or Windows Add/Remove. When you install software, some may install components in multiple folders. I’m here talking about Microsoft Windows, and it may be relatively troublesome. What can a software uninstaller do for you?
